We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Academic Counselor to guide prospective and enrolled students in selecting suitable academic programs. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to understand students' educational goals and provide appropriate guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel prospective students on academic programs, courses, admissions, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' educational needs and recommend suitable courses.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and student inquiries.
- Follow up with leads and convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Assist students throughout the admission and enrollment process.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions in the CRM.
- Coordinate with admissions and academic teams to ensure a smooth enrollment experience.
- Achieve admission and counseling targets.
- Stay updated on course offerings, admission policies, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline .
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in academic counseling, education counseling, admissions, or a related customer-facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and counseling abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the EdTech, education, or training industry.
- Knowledge of higher education programs and admission processes.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with students.
