Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, system architecture, and API integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems while ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to architectural decisions and system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Participate in architecture planning, system design, and technical decision-making.
- Build secure, efficient, and high-performing server-side applications using Node.js.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and project stakeholders.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system scalability.
- Implement and maintain version control practices using Git.
- Assist in cloud deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using AWS services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend-related issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and backend application development.
- Experience in System Design and Architecture Planning.
- Proficiency in API Development and Integration.
- Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AWS Services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, and security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PHP and legacy application support.
- Experience working with GitHub Copilot / AI-assisted development tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Docker and containerization is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
