Job Description:
CMDB Architecture & Ownership
-
Own the overall CMDB architecture, data model, CI classes, attributes, lifecycles, and relationships.

Ensure alignment with ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Lennox service standards.

Act as the final approval authority for CMDB structure, onboarding patterns, and design changes.
Driving CMDB Quality – The 3Cs
-
Correctness: Define validation rules, health checks, reconciliation logic, and accuracy KPIs.

Completeness: Drive onboarding coverage across servers, network devices, end‑user devices, cloud resources, applications, and SaaS.

Compliance: Ensure audit‑ready governance, ownership clarity, and adherence to security and data standards.
Adoption & Business Enablement
-
Drive meaningful CMDB usage across Incident, Change, Problem, Vulnerability Response (VR), Asset Management, and Service Portfolio processes.

Enable impact analysis, change risk assessment, service dependency visibility, and business‑focused reporting.

Ensure the CMDB delivers value beyond being a static data repository.
ServiceNow Platform Architecture & Governance
-
Serve as lead architect for CMDB‑dependent ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, SAM).

Govern integrations, discovery sources, service mapping, and Service Graph connectors.

Establish architectural guardrails to ensure platform scalability and maintainability.
Automation & Data Integrity
-
Promote automation for CI discovery, onboarding, updates, reconciliation, and decommissioning.

Define clear “source of truth” principles across tools and integrations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
-
Partner with Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Define CMDB operating model, RACI, health reviews, and maturity roadmap.
Continuously improve CMDB quality and usability across the enterprise
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
-
8–12+ years of experience with ServiceNow, with strong focus on CMDB and CSDM
-
Proven experience driving enterprise‑scale CMDB adoption
-
Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, and Asset/SAM dependencies
-
Experience working in regulated, audit‑aware, or security‑conscious environments
-
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS‑ITSM/ITOM, CSDM Practitioner preferred)

Experience in large, global, hybrid IT environments

Background in infrastructure, operations, or platform architecture
