Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Bartender to prepare and serve beverages while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and responsible alcohol handling. The bartender will ensure smooth bar operations and provide an excellent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per standard recipes.
- Take beverage orders and provide prompt and courteous service to guests.
- Maintain proper knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages.
- Ensure correct portioning and minimize wastage and spillage.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar counter, equipment, glassware, and work area.
- Check and maintain bar stock, including bottles, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies.
- Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.
- Record beverage consumption and coordinate with the cashier/POS team for accurate billing.
- Ensure all beverages are served according to the establishment's standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
- Handle glassware and bar equipment safely and responsibly.
- Follow company policies regarding responsible alcohol service.
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear the prescribed uniform and name badge.
- Coordinate with the service and kitchen teams for smooth restaurant operations.
- Attend to guest requests and complaints professionally and report issues to the supervisor.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or bar.
- Must possess a recognized Certificate/Diploma in Mixology.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and during events.
- Well-groomed, disciplined, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Knowledge of inventory control and bar cost management will be an advantage.
