Junior Data Analyst — Marketing Operations
Company: AdTeam
Location: India — Office-Based
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
AdTeam is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to review advertising performance data, validate AI-generated reports, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate operational records.
This is not an advanced data science or predictive modelling position. You will work with structured marketing data and ensure that reports match the original advertising-platform data. Your role will be to identify errors, unusual patterns, and performance opportunities—and clearly report your findings to the campaign team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily campaign performance data across multiple advertising accounts.
- Audit AI-generated reports against raw advertising-platform data.
- Verify important metrics, including spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, CPA, and ROAS.
- Identify missing, incorrect, duplicated, or inconsistent data.
- Compare campaign results against predefined performance thresholds.
- Flag campaigns that meet pause, scaling, or review criteria.
- Investigate differences between reports and source-platform data.
- Identify trends, unusual changes, and potential performance opportunities.
- Highlight high-performing audiences, placements, creatives, or campaigns.
- Present findings to the team leader with supporting data.
- Maintain accurate campaign logs, trackers, and performance reports.
- Prepare clear daily summaries of changes, discrepancies, and required actions.
- Follow documented data-audit and quality-control procedures.
- Help maintain and update reporting SOPs.
What We Are Looking For
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong comfort with numbers and data comparisons.
- An analytical and questioning mindset.
- Ability to verify information instead of accepting reports at face value.
- Ability to identify when numbers do not match or appear unusual.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to follow written processes and validation checklists.
- Good written English for reporting findings clearly.
- Consistency and patience when handling repetitive data-review tasks.
- Reliable daily availability during the defined working schedule.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to use formulas, filters, sorting, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, conversion rate, and ROAS.
- Experience in reporting, quality assurance, accounting, bookkeeping, operations, or data entry.
- Familiarity with data visualization or dashboard tools is an advantage.
A background in marketing is not mandatory. Candidates with experience in data analysis, MIS reporting, finance, quality assurance, auditing, accounting, inventory management, or operations are encouraged to apply.
What This Role Does Not Involve
- Advanced machine learning or predictive modelling.
- Building complex data pipelines.
- Developing advertising strategies.
- Designing creatives or writing advertising content.
- Making independent campaign decisions without approval.
What We Offer
- Training on advertising platforms, metrics, and reporting systems.
- Clearly documented data-review and quality-control processes.
- AI-assisted tools for collecting and analysing campaign data.
- A stable, long-term position.
- Performance reviews based on accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Career progression from Junior Data Analyst to Senior Analyst to Marketing Operations Lead.
