Job Description:
To manage and supervise the overall operations of the concrete batching plant, ensuring timely production and dispatch of quality concrete while maintaining safety, plant efficiency, manpower discipline, and proper coordination with customers, site teams, and transporters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the RMC/batching plant.
- Ensure uninterrupted and efficient concrete production as per daily requirements.
- Monitor batching, mixing, loading, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure proper functioning and utilization of batching plant equipment.
- Coordinate with the dispatch team for timely delivery of concrete.
2. Production & Quality
- Ensure concrete is produced according to approved mix designs and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control/Laboratory team for testing and quality assurance.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Ensure correct quantity of cement, aggregates, water, admixtures, and other materials during batching.
- Maintain production and quality records.
3. Raw Material & Inventory
- Monitor stock levels of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other consumables.
- Coordinate with stores/purchase teams for timely availability of materials.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials.
- Report shortages, material quality issues, or abnormal consumption to management.
4. Manpower Management
- Supervise plant operators, helpers, mechanics, electricians, and other plant workers.
- Allocate duties and shifts according to plant requirements.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity of plant manpower.
- Ensure workers follow company policies and safety procedures.
5. Maintenance
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure regular inspection of batching plant, conveyors, mixers, silos, compressors, and related equipment.
- Minimize plant downtime and ensure quick resolution of breakdowns.
- Maintain proper maintenance and breakdown records.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report unsafe conditions.
- Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping within the plant premises.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases immediately to management.
7. Dispatch & Coordination
- Coordinate with dispatch, pump operators, transit mixer drivers, and site teams.
- Ensure concrete is dispatched according to the scheduled requirement.
- Monitor delivery delays and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with customers/site engineers regarding production and delivery requirements.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production, dispatch, material consumption, and plant operation reports.
- Prepare daily/monthly plant performance reports.
- Monitor production quantity, fuel/electricity consumption, wastage, and downtime.
- Report operational issues and plant performance to senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of RMC/batching plant operations.
- Knowledge of concrete production and basic mix design concepts.
- Good manpower and shift management skills.
- Knowledge of plant machinery and basic maintenance.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to handle plant breakdowns and operational emergencies.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and reporting.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Qualification
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
