Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cytology Technician to join our Cytology Department. The candidate will be responsible for processing cytology samples, slide preparation, staining, and maintaining quality standards as per laboratory SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, label, and process cytology specimens as per SOPs.
- Perform sample preparation, smearing, fixation, staining, and slide processing.
- Handle FNAC, Pap smear, body fluid, urine, and other cytology specimens.
- Assist in preparation of slides for microscopic examination.
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and sample traceability.
- Ensure accurate identification and handling of patient samples.
- Follow laboratory quality control, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with pathologists and other laboratory staff for smooth workflow.
- Report any sample discrepancy, rejection, or processing issue to the concerned senior.
- Follow all laboratory SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or relevant life-science qualification.
- Candidates with relevant Cytology / Histopathology laboratory experience will be preferred.
Experience
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- Experience in Cytology / Histopathology / Pathology laboratory will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of cytology sample processing and slide preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory team.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality procedures.
- Willingness to work in a diagnostic laboratory environment.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
