Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will handle core accounting, taxation, and financial reporting responsibilities for Vidya Wires Limited. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring GST & TDS compliance, performing reconciliations, supporting audits, and overseeing day-to-day financial operations of the company.
The Sr. Accountant must have strong experience in general accounting, GST, TDS, vendor / customer reconciliation, and finalization-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting & Ledger Management

Manage day-to-day accounting entries in ERP.

Handle accounting for Purchase, Sales, Job Work, Expenses, Inventory, and Bank.

Verify and post journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accuracy.

Assist in preparation of Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet.

Maintain Fixed Assets Register, depreciation entries, and asset capitalization.
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
-
Verify vendor invoices with PO/GRN and check HSN/GST accuracy.

Record purchase invoices, freight bills, job-work bills, and credit/debit notes.

Prepare vendor reconciliation statements monthly.

Support timely vendor payments and maintain AP ageing.
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

Record sales invoices, credit notes, and customer receipts.
-
Reconcile customer ledgers and coordinate with Sales on outstanding payments.
-
Prepare AR ageing reports and monitor overdue collections.

Support e-invoicing and dispatch/billing team.
4. Taxation – GST, TDS & Compliance
1] GST
-
Prepare data for GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and monthly ITC reconciliation (2B vs Books).
-
Manage e-invoicing, e-way bills, and maintain proper HSN classification.

Ensure correct GST input on purchases and compute GST liabilities.

Assist in replying to GST queries and notices.
2] TDS
-
Deduct TDS as per applicable provisions.
-
Prepare monthly TDS workings and challans.
-
Assist in filing quarterly TDS returns and Form 16A generation.
5. Banking & Treasury Support

Post bank transactions and prepare daily bank reconciliation statements.

Support LC/BG documentation and bank correspondence.

Assist in cash flow planning and cash book handling.
6. Reconciliation & Reporting

Perform monthly reconciliation of:

Vendor Ledgers

Customer Ledgers
-
GST Input vs 2B
-
TDS ledgers
-
Bank Reconciliation
-
Inventory & Excise/GST stock mapping
-
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly accounting reports as required.
7. Audit Support

Assist in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, GST Audit, and Cost Audit.

Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and explanations.

Ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
8. Documentation & Record Keeping
-
Maintain proper filing of invoices, challans, purchase orders, and statutory records.
-
Ensure compliance with Companies Act and accounting policies.
-
Support internal control implementation in AP, AR, and inventory accounting.
