Position: Maintenance Executive

Location: VGP Heritage Resort, Injambakkam, Chennai
Reports To: Maintenance In-charge
Job Summary
We are looking for a licensed Maintenance Executive with strong hands-on experience in electrical and plumbing maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the resort's electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general facility systems and ensuring that all maintenance issues are attended to promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day maintenance requirements across the resort.
- Carry a valid electrical / relevant technical licence or certification as required for the role.
- Have strong practical knowledge of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Have strong practical knowledge of plumbing, water supply, drainage, leakage, pipelines, taps, and sanitary fittings.
- Attend to electrical faults, lighting, switches, sockets, wiring, panels, pumps, and motors.
- Attend to plumbing breakdowns, water leakage, drainage blockages, and washroom-related issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, banquet areas, staff quarters, and other facilities.
- Handle basic maintenance of AC units, exhaust fans, pumps, motors, and other equipment.
- Attend to emergency breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Identify potential maintenance issues and take preventive action.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with external technicians and service providers for specialised repairs.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Follow all electrical, plumbing, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support the maintenance team during events and ensure all facilities are functioning properly.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related technical field.
- Valid electrical licence / competency certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial facility.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical work is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of plumbing work is mandatory.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle emergency maintenance situations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise urgent maintenance requirements.
- Hotel/resort maintenance experience will be an added advantage.
