Job Title: IT Program / Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Program / Project Manager to lead and oversee a portfolio of strategic initiatives focused on the design and delivery of a unified data platform within a GxP validated environment. This role will coordinate multiple interdependent projects, manage a team of project managers, and align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of a cohesive, compliant data strategy that supports enterprise-wide decision-making and scalability.
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, exceptional prioritization skills, and the ability to balance competing business needs while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of complex, interrelated IT projects contributing to the development of a unified data platform
- Provide leadership and oversight to multiple project managers, ensuring consistent delivery standards, alignment, and accountability across initiatives
- Define program scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics in alignment with business, technology, and regulatory requirements
- Prioritize initiatives across multiple business units, balancing competing demands and ensuring optimal resource allocation
- Establish and maintain program governance, including status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and compliance tracking
- Ensure all projects adhere to GxP validation requirements and applicable regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with data engineering, architecture, analytics, quality, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and compliant delivery
- Partner with change management teams to drive adoption, communication, training, and organizational readiness
- Identify dependencies and proactively mitigate risks across projects and teams
- Ensure adherence to best practices in program and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Provide clear, consistent communication to executive stakeholders and leadership teams
- Monitor program performance and implement continuous improvement practices
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in IT program or project management, preferably within data, analytics, or platform initiatives
- Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs with multiple concurrent projects and leading project managers
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complexity while ensuring compliance and quality
- Demonstrated expertise in prioritizing competing business needs and aligning them with technical and regulatory requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working alongside or integrating change management practices into program delivery
- Experience working in GxP validated environments and understanding of regulatory expectations
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing regulated projects within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with validation processes (CSV/CSA), data integrity principles, and audit readiness
- Experience with data platforms, data warehousing, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and integration strategies
- PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
- Experience in stakeholder management at the executive level
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance standards
