Role Summary
A Senior Accountant owns the accuracy of financial records and handles complex accounting tasks that go beyond day-to-day bookkeeping. You’ll close the books, prep reports, ensure compliance, and often mentor junior staff. Think: the person management trusts when numbers need to be right.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Month-End Close Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Prepare financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Post and review complex journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, intercompany accounts Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies Assist with audits: prepare schedules, respond to auditor requests Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements Prepare tax filings: GST/VAT, TDS, income tax, or coordinate with tax team Analysis & Business Support Analyze financial data and variances vs budget/forecast Provide insights to management for decision making Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Review contracts and transactions for accounting implications Team & Process Leadership Mentor junior accountants and AP/AR staff Review work of staff accountants for accuracy Drive automation and improve accounting workflows Liaise with operations, sales, and other depts on financial matters Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred or in progress Experience: 4-7 years total accounting experience, with 2+ years in a senior or full-cycle role Technical: Advanced Excel, ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Tally. Strong with reconciliations and consolidations Knowledge: Solid grasp of GAAP/IFRS, tax basics, audit prep Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical, deadline-driven, strong communication. Can explain numbers to non-finance people Key Performance Indicators Month-end close completed within X business days with <1% error rate No material audit adjustments Timely and accurate regulatory filings Process improvements implemented per quarter
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
