Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage end-to-end NPD projects from concept to launch.
- Prepare project timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure on-time delivery.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
Product Development
- Develop new products based on customer and market requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and cost optimization.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with R&D, production, quality, procurement, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers for development activities.
- Facilitate design reviews and project meetings.
Quality & Compliance
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and status updates.
- Track KPIs such as launch readiness, development lead time, and project costs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in New Product Development, Product Engineering, or R&D.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, DFM/DFA, and project management tools.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, etc.) is preferred.
