Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Mechanical CAD Trainer to deliver practical, industry-oriented training in Mechanical Design and CAD software. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring students and helping them build successful engineering careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and online training on Mechanical CAD/CAM software.
- Train students in:
- AutoCAD Mechanical
- SolidWorks
- CATIA
- PTC Creo
- Siemens NX
- Autodesk Inventor
- ANSYS (preferred)
- Teach core mechanical engineering concepts including:
- Engineering Drawing
- Machine Design
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Manufacturing Processes
- Product Design & Development
- Sheet Metal Design
- Assembly Modeling
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Conduct hands-on workshops, live projects, and design challenges.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, projects, and practical tests.
- Mentor students for internships, placements, and technical interviews.
- Keep course content updated with the latest industry practices and software releases.
- Coordinate with the placement and academic teams to enhance student employability.
- Maintain student attendance, progress reports, and training documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in Mechanical Design, CAD training, or the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design principles and drafting standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one major 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX, or Inventor.
- Good understanding of GD&T, machine components, manufacturing processes, and product development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ANSYS, HyperMesh, or other CAE tools.
- Exposure to CNC programming, CAM, or 3D Printing.
- Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) concepts.
- Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes, PTC, or Siemens software certifications.
- Prior teaching or corporate training experience.
