Job Summary
The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for independently assessing patients, developing evidence-based treatment plans, supervising junior physiotherapists, ensuring quality physiotherapy services, and contributing to departmental development and NABH compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
- Treat orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, sports injury, pediatric, geriatric, and post-operative patients.
- Supervise and mentor Junior Physiotherapists and interns.
- Review treatment outcomes and modify therapy plans as required.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all treatments.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation with doctors, nursing, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct patient and family education on rehabilitation and preventive care.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of physiotherapy equipment.
- Monitor departmental quality indicators and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in NABH documentation, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical meetings.
- Conduct in-service education and staff training.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) – Mandatory
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Preferred
- Valid State Physiotherapy Council Registration
