Chef Assistant / Assistant Cook
Job Summary: Assist the Chef in food preparation, cooking, kitchen organization, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing ingredients (cutting vegetables, cleaning meat, measuring ingredients).
Support the Chef during cooking and food service.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Store food items properly and monitor inventory.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Help with receiving and organizing supplies.
Dispose of waste and keep the kitchen organized.
Assist in menu preparation when required.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not always required.
