Job Overview
The Wake Makers is looking for a skilled and creative Wedding Video Editor to join our team. We are seeking someone with at least 1 year of professional experience in wedding video editing who can transform raw wedding footage into cinematic films that beautifully capture emotions and stories. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music, and colour grading.
Responsibilities
* Edit cinematic wedding films, highlights, trailers, teasers, and full-length wedding videos.
* Select the best moments from raw footage to create emotionally engaging films.
* Perform colour correction, colour grading, audio balancing, and smooth transitions.
* Sync visuals with music to create impactful storytelling.
* Follow The Wake Makers’ editing style and maintain consistency across all projects.
* Organise project files and ensure efficient workflow.
* Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining premium quality.
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of professional experience in wedding video editing is mandatory.
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential.
* Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve is an added advantage.
* Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, pacing, music selection, transitions, and colour grading.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
* Positive attitude and willingness to grow as a long-term member of The Wake Makers team.
