Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and well-organized Physician Assistant to join Ortho-One. The ideal candidate will coordinate patient care activities, support consultants during clinical procedures, and ensure seamless communication between patients, doctors, nursing staff, and other departments while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate OPD appointments, record patient history, prepare case notes, and update EMR/IP medical records.
- Assist consultants during OPD consultations, ward rounds, minor procedures, dressings, suturing, POP removal, and other clinical activities.
- Coordinate with the Emergency Department, Minor Operation Theatre (MOT), Operation Theatre (OT), and Admission Department for patient care, procedures, consumables, and scheduling.
- Assess post-operative patients, monitor recovery, and follow consultant and multidisciplinary team instructions.
- Prepare investigation requests, discharge follow-up records, insurance pre-authorizations, and maintain patient documentation.
- Coordinate OT bookings, billing clearance, and cashless insurance processes with the concerned departments.
- Provide patient counselling, answer patient queries, communicate treatment progress, and schedule review appointments as advised by the consultant.
- Follow up with discharged patients, collect feedback, address concerns, and communicate updates to the respective consultant and Operations Department.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among consultants, nursing staff, patients, and other departments to facilitate quality patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualification
· B.Sc. Physician Assistant
Experience
· Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
· Exposure to Orthopaedic clinical practice or an Orthopaedic hospital is preferred.
Skills
· Experience in Orthopaedic practice preferred.
· Excellent coordination with consultants, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and EMR records.
· Good patient counselling and relationship management skills.
· Strong teamwork, organizational, and time management abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
