Role:
Powertrain NVH CAE Simulation & Evaluation.
Responsibilities:

Prepare Powertrain FE model using Hypermesh/SimLab: Structural & Acoustics meshing, connection, assembly, constraints, load setting for Engine & sub-systems.
- Powertrain modal and FRF simulation using NASTRAN
- Powertrain MBD analysis in AVL Excite, Engine Acoustics analysis in ACTRAN
- Interpretation of results, comprehending failure modes shapes and providing directions for countermeasures.
- Report preparation: Communication with design and testing for implementation of countermeasures.
Interact with testing teams for analyzing failures, correlation of CAE results with physical testing results and improvement in CAE methodology.
Technical/ Functional
:
- Basic knowhow of Main engine parts and its sub systems.
- Hands on experience on using Hypermesh, SimLab, Nastran, Actran, AVL Excite.
- Sound knowledge of Fundamental Vibration & Acoustics, Powertrain and Driveline NVH, Engine mounting vibration
- Basic knowhow of NVH tests and ISO Test standards – Modal testing, Engine anechoic test, Intake/Exhaust Muffler NVH tests.
- Knowledge of E-motor NVH, Battery mount vibration will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of 1D Noise analysis in GT Power will be an added advantage.
- Problem solving and data interpretation skills are required.
- Exposure to physical testing and ability to understand test conditions and its representation in CAE will be preferred.
Knowledge of Scripting (Python, VB) will be desired.
