About the Role
Inland Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operation Theatre (OT) Technician to assist surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and nursing staff in delivering safe and efficient surgical care. The ideal candidate will ensure that operation theatres, surgical instruments, and equipment are prepared, sterilized, and maintained according to hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and OT supplies in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and OT nurses during surgical procedures.
- Arrange and prepare surgical instruments, implants, consumables, and equipment required for each procedure.
- Operate and maintain OT equipment, including OT tables, lights, suction machines, electrocautery units, and patient monitors.
- Assist in patient positioning, transfer, and preparation for surgery.
- Ensure proper handling, counting, and documentation of surgical instruments, sponges, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels of OT supplies and coordinate with the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and stores for replenishment.
- Follow infection prevention, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly and assist in routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate OT records and support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT/B.Sc. OTT) from a recognized institution.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a multi-specialty hospital is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with appropriate qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Pay: ₹10,668.43 - ₹40,826.45 per month
