Key Responsibilities:
- Drink Preparation: Mix cocktails, pour beer, and serve wine accurately using standard recipes.
- Customer Service: Greet guests, take orders, offer menu suggestions, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Safety and Compliance: Verify legal drinking age with valid IDs and monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent over-intoxication.
- Bar Maintenance: Stock ice, glassware, garnishes, and liquor supplies while keeping the workspace clean and sanitized.
- Transactions: Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, manage open tabs, and process cash or card payments accurately.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with mixology, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and a friendly, engaging personality.
- Multitasking: Ability to work quickly and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long hours and lift heavy items up to 25–50 lbs.
- Certifications: Local alcohol server training or food handling certification when required by law.
