1. Role Purpose
To ensure smooth running of weaving machines (looms) by performing regular maintenance, basic repairs, and supporting breakdown handling on time.
2. Key Responsibilities (KRA)
Machine Maintenance
Daily checking of all looms and machines
Oiling, greasing, and cleaning of machines
Identifying unusual noise, vibration, or faults
Breakdown Support
Immediate response during machine breakdown
Assist senior technician in repairing looms
Inform supervisor/manager about major issues
Preventive Maintenance
Follow scheduled maintenance plan
Maintain checklist for daily/weekly tasks
Replace small parts like belts, bearings, nuts, bolts when required
Utility & Equipment Check
Check motors, panels, and wiring visually
Maintain proper working condition of tools
Ensure no leakage (oil/air/water)
Workplace Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness around machines
Keep tools in proper place after use
Support in maintaining safe working conditions
3. Skills Required
Basic understanding of machines (training will be provided)
Ability to use simple tools (spanner, screwdriver, etc.)
Basic English reading (for manuals/instructions)
Physically fit and active
Personality Requirement
Introvert-friendly role (less talking, more practical work)
Disciplined and responsible
Observant (can notice small machine problems early)
4. Daily Checklist (Important)
Loom cleaning and oiling completed
Any abnormal sound checked
Breakdown attended on time
Tools checked and maintained
Report given to supervisor
5. Reporting To
Maintenance Supervisor / Production Manager
