We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Logistics Manager to manage and optimize the complete logistics and dispatch operations of our manufacturing unit. The person will be responsible for ensuring timely movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other materials while maintaining cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, documentation, and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics & Dispatch Management
- Manage day-to-day inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished goods to customers, dealers, distributors, and other destinations.
- Plan and coordinate transportation requirements based on production and dispatch schedules.
- Monitor vehicle placement, loading, unloading, and delivery status.
- Ensure proper handling and safe movement of goods.
2. Transportation Management
- Coordinate with transporters, fleet operators, and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate transportation rates and monitor transportation costs.
- Allocate vehicles according to shipment size, destination, urgency, and cost.
- Track vehicles and follow up on delayed or pending deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a reliable transporter/vendor network.
3. Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams for material movement.
- Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward material.
- Monitor stock movement and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, packaging, and material handling activities.
4. Order & Dispatch Planning
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Accounts teams for dispatch planning.
- Prioritize dispatches according to customer requirements and business priorities.
- Monitor pending orders and ensure timely dispatch.
- Maintain daily dispatch and delivery reports.
- Ensure proper documentation such as invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, LR/GR, and other required documents.
5. Cost Control
- Monitor logistics and transportation expenses.
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight and handling costs.
- Optimize vehicle utilization and route planning.
- Review transporter bills and verify them against approved rates and actual shipments.
- Prepare monthly logistics cost reports and analysis.
6. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the logistics and dispatch team.
- Define responsibilities and monitor individual/team performance.
- Conduct regular team reviews and provide training where required.
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.
7. Vendor & Transporter Management
- Develop strong relationships with transporters and logistics vendors.
- Evaluate transporter performance based on cost, delivery time, service quality, and damage rate.
- Resolve transportation-related issues and claims.
- Maintain updated transporter agreements, rate contracts, and vendor records.
8. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation, GST, e-way bill, and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation for material transfers between plants, warehouses, and customers.
- Coordinate with Accounts and other departments for documentation and reconciliation.
9. MIS & Reporting
Prepare and submit regular reports covering:
- Daily dispatch status
- Pending dispatch/order report
- Delivery status
- Transporter performance
- Freight and logistics cost
- Vehicle utilization
- Transit delays
- Shortage/damage/claim reports
- Logistics KPI performance
- Monthly logistics MIS

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Logistics will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be preferred.
- Experience managing transporters, warehouse coordination, and dispatch operations is desirable.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
