A Production Engineer in metal fabrication designs, plans, and optimizes manufacturing processes. and enforce quality control to ensure products meet exact tolerances and deadlines.
- Process Planning: Translate engineering blueprints and BOMs into actionable manufacturing work instructions, routing, and operational sequences.
- Production Oversight: Manage daily shop floor operations, balance workloads, and allocate manpower for bending, punching, welding, and assembly.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers) and coordinate with quality teams for in-process and final inspections.
- Efficiency & Continuous Improvement: Utilize methodologies like Kaizen and 5S to minimize waste, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reduce manufacturing lead times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Track machine uptime, perform root-cause analysis on production bottlenecks, and support preventative maintenance on fabrication machinery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech, B.E., or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of sheet metal and structural steel fabrication, welding methodologies (TIG/MIG), and surface finishing processes.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
