Job Summary
Looking For Executive – DP Operations with hands-on experience in CDSL/NSDL, Demat Operations and Stock Broking Back Office.
The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day Depository Participant (DP) Operations, including demat account processing, DIS transactions, transfers, transmission, pledge/re-pledge/unpledge, reconciliation, settlement-related activities and client servicing.
Candidates currently working with a Stock Broker, Depository Participant, Securities Company or Capital Markets organisation will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
DP / Depository Operations
- Handle day-to-day DP Operations and depository-related activities.
- Process Demat Account Opening, Modification and Closure.
- Handle KYC-related modifications and documentation.
- Process DIS transactions.
- Handle off-market and intra-depository transfers.
- Process transfer and transmission requests.
- Handle pledge, re-pledge and unpledge transactions.
- Process dematerialisation and rematerialisation requests.
- Coordinate with CDSL / NSDL for operational requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of DP documentation.
Settlement & Reconciliation
- Support securities settlement and related operational activities.
- Monitor settlement obligations and timelines.
- Support pay-in / pay-out related activities.
- Perform DP and transaction reconciliation.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Track pending transactions and operational exceptions.
Client Servicing
- Handle client queries related to Demat / DP Operations.
- Coordinate for account opening, modification and transaction-related requirements.
- Resolve operational queries within defined timelines.
- Maintain accurate client and transaction records.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily and periodic DP/MIS reports.
- Maintain transaction and reconciliation reports.
- Track pending requests and operational exceptions.
- Provide operational data and reports to the management/team.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Follow applicable CDSL/NSDL and internal operational procedures.
- Ensure proper KYC and documentation.
- Maintain records required for audit and compliance.
- Support internal and depository audits/inspections.
Required Experience & Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in DP / Depository Operations.
- Experience in Stock Broking / Capital Markets / Securities / Depository Participant organisations.
- Hands-on experience with CDSL and/or NSDL.
- Good understanding of Demat Operations.
- Experience in DIS processing.
- Experience in Transfer / Transmission / Off-market Transfers.
- Knowledge of Pledge / Re-pledge / Unpledge transactions.
- Understanding of securities settlement and reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
- Good documentation and client coordination skills.
- Ability to manage transactions accurately within defined timelines.
Important
Hands-on DP/CDSL/NSDL experience is preferred.
Candidates with only generic banking, accounts, payment processing or back-office experience without DP/Depository exposure will not be considered.
Education
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- NISM Series VI – Depository Operations or other relevant certification will be an added advantage.
