VMC & CNC Machine Operator – Job Description
Position:
VMC / CNC Machine Operator
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible VMC/CNC Machine Operator to operate and maintain CNC and VMC machines for precision machining work. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, set tools, inspect components, and ensure quality production.
Responsibilities:
- Operate VMC and CNC machines safely and efficiently
- Load raw materials and unload finished components
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications
- Set tools, offsets, and machine parameters
- Perform machine setup and basic programming adjustments
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain production quality and achieve daily targets
- Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance
- Report machine issues or production defects to supervisors
- Follow company safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in VMC/CNC machine operation preferred
- Knowledge of Fanuc/Siemens controllers is an advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of tooling and measurement instruments
- Good attention to detail and quality control
