We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optoelectronics Engineer – Production to support the manufacturing, testing, and process optimization of optoelectronic products such as lasers, photodetectors, optical modules, and communication systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure high-yield, reliable, and scalable manufacturing operations.
- Support day-to-day production of optoelectronic components and systems.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain optical and electronic test equipment.
- Monitor production yield, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Perform optical alignment, assembly, and characterization of devices such as lasers, modulators, photodiodes, and fiber-optic modules.
- Develop and update production work instructions, SOPs, and test procedures.
- Collaborate with quality teams on root-cause analysis and reliability improvements.
- Assist in transitioning new products from R&D to mass production.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and cleanroom practices.
- Maintain production documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Optoelectronics, Photonics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in optoelectronic manufacturing or production engineering.
- Strong understanding of optical communication systems and optoelectronic devices.
- Hands-on experience with optical test equipment such as OSA, power meters, OTDR, oscilloscopes, BER testers, and polarization analyzers.
- Familiarity with fiber handling, optical alignment, and cleanroom processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and process control methods.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, optical, and process-related issues.
- Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Hands-on experience in optical communication systems, including testing, characterization, troubleshooting, and production support of optoelectronic components and fiber-optic devices.
