Role Overview
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the complete manufacturing operations for webbing and lashing products, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency and timely dispatch are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee manufacturing of polyester webbing, tie-down straps, ratchet straps, cargo lashing belts and related products.
Manage weaving, dyeing, cutting, stitching, sewing, assembly and finishing operations.
Ensure products comply with applicable EN, DIN, ISO, BIS and customer-specific standards, wherever required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- 8–15 years of experience in webbing, lashing, narrow fabric, technical textiles or industrial textile manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of webbing looms, weaving processes, polyester yarns, dyeing, stitching and lashing assembly.
- Experience in manufacturing cargo lashing/tie-down systems will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control and manpower management.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing a medium to large-scale production team.
Educational Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field preferred.
Key KPIs: Production output, machine efficiency, OEE, rejection %, wastage %, on-time delivery, manpower productivity and production cost per unit.
