About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design, analysis, and execution of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing safe, economical, and code-compliant structural solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis
- Prepare and review structural designs for RCC and steel structures.
- Perform structural analysis and design using relevant software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
- Design foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other structural elements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian Standards (IS Codes) and project specifications.
- Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, and technical meetings.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely delivery of structural design packages.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve site-related structural issues.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct design verification and value engineering exercises.
- Review material specifications and quality control procedures.
- Support site inspections and structural audits as required.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and drafting teams.
- Review and guide structural calculations and detailing work.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to achieve project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (M.E./M.Tech) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural design and execution.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structure design.
- Proficiency in ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit is an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of relevant IS Codes including:
- IS 456 – Plain and Reinforced Concrete
- IS 875 – Design Loads
- IS 1893 – Earthquake Resistant Design
- IS 13920 – Ductile Detailing
- IS 800 – Steel Structures
- IS 3370 – Water Retaining Structures
- IS 1904 – Foundation Design
