What s in it for You
Lead an integrated structural engineering function covering static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance workstreams for rotary-wing and fixed-wing aerostructure programs.
Act as senior technical authority and client interface for aerospace OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders, including Airbus programs where applicable.
Build capability, leadership pipelines, and a high-performance culture across static and F&DT disciplines while driving digital transformation through MBSE, MBD, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
What You Will Do in This Role
Technical Governance & Engineering Leadership
Hold technical authority and act as Level II checker/approver for static, dynamic, impact, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
Establish and govern structural analysis methods, client-specific processes, design review gates, and quality standards across static, dynamic, impact, and F&DT sizing and justification activities.
Provide technical oversight from concept through architecture, detailed design, integration, certification, and test correlation for metallic and composite structures.
Guide stress interpretation, design philosophy, load paths, and compliance with client, regulatory, and Airbus-specific requirements where applicable.
Lead risk assessments and resolution strategies for structural non-conformances, F&DT issues, airworthiness deviations, and schedule-impacting technical concerns.
Delivery Ownership & Program Management
Own end-to-end delivery for the stress function, including planning, scope traceability, milestone tracking, schedule variance management, and resource allocation across static and F&DT workstreams.
Govern SLAs, report templates, certification templates, and tool alignment to ensure consistency across Airbus and other OEM program requirements.
Lead engineering change management by assessing impact on cost, schedule, resources, and milestones through structured, client-aligned change control.
Ensure delivery meets cost, schedule, weight, performance, regulatory, contractual, utilization, and margin commitments.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary technical and program-level interface with clients, representing the organization in technical audits, quality gate reviews, change control boards, and senior stakeholder discussions.
Build trusted relationships with aerospace OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, especially Airbus stakeholders, to strengthen account positioning and identify growth opportunities.
Align engineering deliverables with client expectations and strategic program goals while leading technical discussions with client and regulatory counterparts.
People Leadership & Capability Building
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance stress engineering team across static, dynamic, and F&DT disciplines with clear growth plans and succession pipeline.
Conduct technical coaching, performance reviews, and career development planning while developing Airbus-specific and broader OEM capability through structured upskilling and knowledge transfer.
Foster engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the function.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
Drive design and analysis automation, digital workflows, MBSE/MBD adoption, and digital continuity initiatives across the stress engineering lifecycle.
Sponsor automation tools and innovation opportunities that improve throughput, consistency, quality, and competitiveness on Airbus and other strategic OEM programs.
