Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Slitting Operator to operate slitting machines for cutting printed label rolls according to customer specifications. The candidate should ensure accurate dimensions, high-quality output, and adherence to production schedules while maintaining machine efficiency and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate slitting machines as per production requirements.
- Set up the machine according to job specifications (roll width, core size, quantity, etc.).
- Inspect printed rolls before and after slitting to ensure quality standards.
- Maintain correct slitting dimensions and minimize material wastage.
- Identify and report defects or machine issues to the supervisor.
- Pack finished rolls with proper labels and documentation.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Complete daily production records and reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 0–3 years of experience as a Slitting Operator, preferably in the label or flexible packaging industry.
- Knowledge of slitting machine operation and quality inspection.
- Ability to read job cards and production instructions.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Responsible, disciplined, and quality-focused.
