About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounting Intern to support our Finance & Accounts team. The intern will primarily be responsible for reviewing and checking accounting data prepared/sent by the accountant, identifying discrepancies, maintaining records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities

Review and verify accounting data, entries, and records prepared by the accountant.

Check invoices, bills, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents for accuracy.

Identify discrepancies, missing information, or incorrect accounting entries and report them to the concerned person.

Cross-check accounting data with supporting documents and ensure proper documentation.
-
Assist in maintaining and organizing financial and accounting records.
-
Support bank, ledger, and transaction reconciliation activities.
-
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable-related tasks.
-
Verify calculations, amounts, dates, and other details in accounting records.
-
Assist in preparing basic financial reports and summaries.
-
Ensure accounting data is properly updated and maintained in the accounting system.

Assist the Accounts/Finance team with other accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Educational Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
Candidates recently graduated from an accounting/finance-related program may apply.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping is required.
Required Accounting Knowledge
The candidate should have a basic understanding of:

Required Skills

Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime knowledge is preferred.

Previous internship/project experience in accounting or finance.

Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory accounting requirements.

Good knowledge of MS Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and data management.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good numerical and analytical skills.

Ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.

Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

Basic computer proficiency.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
