Trelleborg India Private Limited, (Business Unit: Trelleborg Sealing Solutions) headquartered at Bangalore is a leading sealing solution provider in India. The company with about 800+ employees across India has been successful in creating strong footholds in the Sealing market of the country.
We are looking for an Application Engineer (Pune) for our sales Department.
This role is responsible for providing technical support to segment heads, sales team, inside sales team for the technical queries from different segments like Industrial, Off highway Machinery and Automotive.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1) New enquiries are generated by getting completely filled Engineering action request (EAR) or customer drawing/specification, in case of new development of equipment.
2) Study the EAR, customer drawing/specification & make proper cost-effective seal selection and to make the proposal drawing for potential customers, in case of standard normal hydraulic application.
3) If the application is critical, then with the support from Experts in related field, we will decide on the seal selection and give the proposal to customer.
4) Discuss with CSR / customer on acceptance of our technical proposal. after getting the customer acceptance, send the commercial offer only in case of project enquiries.
6) In case of seal failure, study & find out the possible reasons. Sending the failure analysis report taking guidance from experts.
8) Technical training to customer on seal, material, installation, application etc.
9) Visiting to the customers place along with CSR for new projects/development
10) Handle the projects & maintain the project report.
11) Discuss with experts on various technical issues
12) Keep track of supplier drawings, standards, quotes etc.
13) Keep track of customer drawings, standards etc.
14) Train the newly appointed Engineers and prepare the technical presentation.
16) Participate in promotional activities like exhibition, seminars etc.
17) Keep informed on latest seal development, compounds etc to our potential customers.
18) Promote new seals in our customer application and participate in technical seminars.
About the Ideal Candidate
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BE).
3–4 years of experience in the hydraulics industry and/or sealing solutions business.
Experience in Troubleshooting and Knowledge in AutoCAD is must.
Competencies:
Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a positive and proactive attitude.
Knowledge in MS office applications
Experience in new product development is added advantage.
