Director, Software Engineering
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
Bentley Systems is seeking a visionary and passionate Engineering Director to lead our elite team of architects and senior engineers in Pune. This is a high-impact role focused on building and scaling our forward-looking cloud technologies. You will work closely with our product management team and CTO to translate customer needs into groundbreaking product engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, build, manage, and mentor a world-class team of architects and engineers.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Provide guidance and career development opportunities for your team members.

Lead the design and implementation of mission-critical, large-scale, and globally distributed enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.

Ensure the security, reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of the products.

Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver integrated products.

Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
-
A people-centric leader with a passion for building and developing high-performing teams.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity, managing architects and senior engineers.

Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including a strong understanding of networking, security, and storage solutions.

Deep understanding and practical experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Proven experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems in the cloud.

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
