About the Role
PhysicsWallah is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Facility Executive to oversee the day-to-day facility operations at our Bokaro center. The role involves managing infrastructure, ensuring preventive maintenance, supervising vendors, maintaining safety compliance, and providing a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for students and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Bokaro center.

Monitor and maintain overall building infrastructure and utilities.
-
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
-
Ensure classrooms, offices, and common areas are clean, functional, and operational.
Equipment Maintenance
-
Operate, monitor, and maintain:
-
Air Conditioning (AC) Systems
-
Diesel Generator (DG) Sets
-
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems
-
UPS & Power Backup Systems
-
CCTV Surveillance Systems
-
Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Systems
-
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors and service providers.

Ensure minimum downtime of all critical equipment.
Classroom & Infrastructure Management
-
Maintain classroom infrastructure, including:

Smart Boards
-
Projectors
-
Classroom Furniture
-
Lighting Systems
-
IT Assets
-
Ensure classrooms are fully operational before the commencement of daily sessions.
Preventive Maintenance
-
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
-
Track Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and service schedules.
-
Identify potential maintenance issues and resolve them proactively.
Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with organizational safety SOPs and statutory regulations.
-
Conduct routine fire safety inspections and emergency preparedness checks.
-
Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
Vendor Management
-
Manage third-party vendors, including:

Housekeeping
-
Security
-
Pest Control
-
Electrical & HVAC Services
-
Civil Maintenance
-
Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).

Verify work completion and coordinate invoice processing.
Utility & Cost Management
-
Track electricity, diesel, water, and HVAC consumption.
-
Recommend measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce utility costs.
-
Prepare monthly utility usage reports.
Inventory & Asset Management
-
Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and consumables.
-
Coordinate procurement of facility-related items.
-
Perform asset tagging and maintain accurate asset records.
-
Ensure timely replenishment of critical stock.
Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly facility reports.
-
Maintain records of AMCs, vendor agreements, and compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Coordinate with regional administration, operations, and IT teams.
-
Support infrastructure expansion, renovation, and special projects.
-
Ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
-
B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Facility Management (Preferred).
Experience
-
2–5 years of experience in Facility Management, Administration, or Infrastructure Operations.

Experience in educational institutions, corporate offices, hospitals, or commercial facilities is preferred.
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of HVAC, DG Sets, UPS, Electrical Systems, RO Systems, and Fire Safety.
