Job Description: Production Head (Heavy Fabrication)
Location: Pithampur, Sector-3, Dhar (M.P.)
We are looking for an experienced Production Head to lead production operations in a heavy fabrication manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in production planning, fabrication processes, manpower management, quality control, and overall shop floor operations to ensure timely and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all production activities in the fabrication shop.
- Plan, monitor, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, welding, fitting, assembly, and dispatch.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Stores, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
- Monitor productivity and implement measures to reduce production losses, downtime, and rework.
- Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain production reports, work-in-progress (WIP), and daily production records.
- Enforce workplace safety standards and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
- Train, mentor, and supervise production supervisors, welders, fitters, and operators.
- Ensure timely completion of customer orders and dispatch schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 12–15 years in Heavy Fabrication Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience in production planning and manpower management.
- Knowledge of quality standards and fabrication inspection procedures.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹38,000 – ₹42,000 per month (Final salary will depend on interview and experience).
