Job Summary
The Molding Supervisor is responsible for supervising all molding operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved. The role involves managing manpower, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining smooth production flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily molding operations and ensure production targets are met.
- Allocate work and manage molding operators and helpers.
- Ensure molds are prepared as per drawings and process specifications.
- Monitor molding quality and reduce defects such as sand inclusion, mismatch, and mold breakage.
- Coordinate with Melting, Core Shop, Pattern Shop, and Fettling departments.
- Ensure proper sand preparation and molding material usage.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily output.
- Monitor machine and equipment condition and report maintenance requirements.
- Implement 5S, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Train and guide operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Minimize rework, rejection, and production downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company quality and safety policies.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of green sand and/or no-bake molding processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and process instructions.
- Leadership and manpower management skills.
- Good problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of quality control and production planning.
- Basic computer knowledge (ERP, MS Excel, MS Word).
Qualification
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- ITI with relevant foundry experience may also be considered.
Preferred Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a foundry molding department.
- Experience in handling manual, semi-automatic, or automatic molding lines.
- Knowledge of foundry safety practices and quality standards.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
