We are looking for EMS - Manager for our Herbal Factory located at Attibele.
Lead the complete operation, monitoring, and optimization of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), including biological treatment systems such as ASP, MBBR, SBR, anaerobic treatment, sludge management, tertiary treatment, and water recycling/ZLD systems.
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, including Pollution Control Board requirements, Water Act, Air Act, Hazardous Waste Management Rules, Consent to Operate (CTO), Consent to Establish (CTE), and other statutory requirements.
Manage biological treatment processes by controlling key operating parameters such as MLSS, MLVSS, DO, SVI, F/M ratio, HRT, SRT, nutrient dosing, microbial health, and COD/BOD reduction to achieve consistent treatment efficiency.
Drive environmental sustainability initiatives, including water conservation, treated water reuse, energy optimization, waste minimization, carbon footprint reduction, and implementation of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) practices where applicable.
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance of ETP equipment, including pumps, blowers, diffusers, clarifiers, filter presses, RO systems, MEE, instrumentation, and SCADA/PLC-based control systems to ensure high plant reliability.
Manage environmental monitoring and reporting, including laboratory analysis, online monitoring systems, statutory documentation, environmental audits, regulatory inspections, and timely submission of compliance reports.
Coordinate effectively with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Safety, Procurement, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and environmental compliance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the ETP and Environment team, including engineers, supervisors, operators, laboratory personnel, and contract workforce, while promoting a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce operating costs, optimize chemical and energy consumption, improve wastewater treatment performance, minimize sludge generation, and enhance operational efficiency.
Communicate effectively with employees, contractors, auditors, government officials, and management, with fluency in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and English (reading, writing, and speaking as applicable), enabling efficient coordination across all levels of the organization.
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Environmental, Chemical, Biotechnology, Civil (Environmental), or Mechanical Engineering. A postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering is preferred.
Preferred Industry Experience: Botanical Extraction, Herbal Extraction, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, or Chemical Manufacturing.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
