We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Hardware & Network Engineer to join our team at The Ocean Marketing. In this role, you will be the backbone of our technical operations, ensuring that all hardware, software, and networking systems run seamlessly. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on expertise in physically repairing devices (laptops, desktops, CCTV) and deep troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Repair & Maintenance: Diagnose and perform physical repairs on desktop and laptop computers (e.g., RAM/SSD upgrades, thermal management, motherboard diagnostics, and screen replacements).
- Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and permanently resolve laptop lag issues and system bottlenecks to ensure workstations perform at peak efficiency.
- Multi-OS Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level software support for both Windows and macOS environments. Handle configuration and troubleshooting for specialized Apple hardware setups, including MacBook and Mac Mini M4 architectures.
- CCTV Administration: Install, configure, and maintain IP and analog CCTV surveillance systems, including DVR/NVR setups, cabling, and remote viewing access.
- Network Infrastructure: Manage routers, switches, and firewalls. Ensure stable local networks, resolve Wi-Fi connectivity dropouts, and manage secure access.
- IT Setup & Onboarding: Prepare and provision hardware and software for new team members. Maintain routine system backups and execute data recovery protocols when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Hardware Engineer, Desktop Support Technician, or IT Systems Administrator.
- Strong hands-on mechanical experience in dismantling, diagnosing, and repairing laptops and desktops from major brands.
- In-depth software troubleshooting skills for Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.
- Practical experience with installing and troubleshooting CCTV camera systems.
- Solid understanding of local area networking (LAN/WAN), TCP/IP protocols, and basic network diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly isolate hardware versus software faults.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to preventing IT downtime.
