Yes Yes Roofs is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Modeller & Detailer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating highly accurate 3D models, fabrication/shop drawings, and erection drawings for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and complex multi-story steel structures.
## Key Responsibilities
- 3D Modelling: Generate accurate and clash-free 3D models of PEB frameworks, multi-story steel structures, and primary/secondary components using Tekla Structures.
- Shop Drawings: Create comprehensive and precise fabrication (shop) drawings, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and anchor bolt plans.
- Erection Drawings: Produce clear, easy-to-follow erection layouts and field detail drawings for on-site construction teams and supervisors.
- BOM & Reporting: Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), Bolt Lists, Material Take-offs (MTO), and NC/DXF files directly from the Tekla model for the production team.
- Clash Detection & Review: Review architectural and structural design drawings to identify discrepancies, resolve clashes, and raise RFIs (Request for Information) when necessary.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all models and drawings adhere to company standards, Indian Standard (IS) codes, and client specifications.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Structural Engineers, Project Managers, and the Palakkad production unit to ensure seamless workflow from design to fabrication.
## Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience in steel structural detailing, specifically using Tekla Structures.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record of handling PEB structures and multi-story steel buildings (e.g., platforms, commercial complexes, industrial sheds).
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Tekla Structures (Modelling, Detailing, and Editing).
- Good command of AutoCAD for secondary drafting tasks.
- Strong understanding of steel connection detailing (welded, bolted, moment, and shear connections).
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural engineering blueprints.
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or a B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with specialized training in structural detailing.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high attention to precision, and the ability to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
