Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Factory Accountant to manage the financial operations and inventory accounting for our sofa manufacturing business. In this role, you will handle day-to-day accounting, track production costs, manage material and inventory accounting, handle supplier payments, and assist with tax/GST compliance. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in manufacturing unit accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete day-to-day accounting records, general ledgers, and financial transactions.
- Track production costs, raw material usage (timber, foam, fabrics, hardware), labor costs, and operational overheads.
- Manage stock/inventory accounting and perform regular physical stock audits against system records.
- Process vendor/supplier invoices, manage accounts payable/receivable, and execute timely payment follow-ups.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.
- Manage tax filings (GST, TDS, local tax compliance) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and ledger accounts regularly.
- Coordinate with internal production teams and external auditors or financial advisors.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior accounting experience within a manufacturing, production, or furniture workshop environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of inventory valuation, cost accounting, and tax regulations (GST, TDS).
- High accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
