The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring workplace health and safety policies to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company standards. The role focuses on accident prevention, risk assessment, employee safety training, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of safety culture across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare reports.
Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks.
Organize employee safety training programs.
Promote safety awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.
Guide contractors and vendors on safety requirements.
Team Coordination
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, HR, and project teams.
Supervise safety officers and site safety personnel.
Support management in achieving organizational safety goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Industrial Safety / Environmental Science.
Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety preferred.
Knowledge of safety laws and compliance standards.
