ELV Wiring Technician – Experienced

Job Summary
Eagle Eye Corporation is seeking an experienced ELV Wiring Technician to execute cabling, containment,
termination, testing and labelling work for Extra-Low Voltage systems at commercial, industrial and government
sites.
The candidate should have practical experience in structured cabling and field wiring for CCTV, access control, fire
alarm, public address, data networking and other ELV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute ELV cable laying according to approved drawings and cable schedules.
- Install CAT6, coaxial, fire-alarm, access-control, speaker, fibre-optic and power cables.
- Install PVC and metal conduits, casing, cable trays, raceways and junction boxes.
- Perform wall drilling, camera-point preparation and equipment mounting.
- Pull cables without damaging conductors, insulation or existing services.
- Maintain proper separation between ELV and electrical power cables.
- Terminate RJ45, BNC, fire-alarm, access-control and other field cables.
- Dress and terminate cables inside racks, panels and junction boxes.
- Install patch panels, network racks, LIUs, PoE switches and related accessories.
- Label cables, devices, racks, panels and termination points.
- Test cables using LAN testers, multimeters and continuity testers.
- Identify and rectify open circuits, short circuits, earth faults and damaged cables.
- Maintain cable-route, termination and testing records.
- Follow approved layouts, schematics and technical instructions.
- Coordinate with electricians, civil contractors and other site teams.
- Maintain daily progress and material-consumption reports.
- Protect customer property and maintain housekeeping at the worksite.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Support system engineers during testing and commissioning.
- Attend maintenance and cable-fault rectification assignments.

- Educational Qualification
- ITI in Electrician, Wireman, Electronics or a related trade
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualification preferred
- Relevant trade certification will be an advantage
- Candidate Requirements
- Minimum two years of ELV or structured-cabling experience
- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding and at heights
- Physically fit for cable-pulling and installation work
- Understanding of site-safety practices
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Responsible handling of tools and materials
- Willingness to work flexible hours during project deadlines
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred
