SMV Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated ICU Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The successful candidate will work closely with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' physical and clinical conditions accurately.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, cardiac rhythm, and neurological status.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
- Operate and monitor ICU equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, ventilators, suction apparatus, and other critical care devices.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures, intubation, central line insertion, CPR, and other critical interventions.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices, hand hygiene, and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Identify and report any sudden changes in patient condition immediately to the treating consultant and Nursing In-Charge.
- Educate patients' families regarding the patient's condition, treatment plan, and ICU protocols within the scope of nursing practice.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, physiotherapists, laboratory services, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of emergency drugs, crash carts, and life-saving equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, emergency drills, and continuing nursing education programmes.
- Perform all assigned duties in accordance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI standards, and applicable nursing regulations.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognised institution.
- ICU experience is preferred; fresh graduates with strong clinical knowledge may also apply.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
