The Hospital Stores Executive is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, and general consumables. The role ensures uninterrupted availability of materials, maintains accurate inventory records, and complies with hospital policies, quality standards, and inventory management procedures.
- Receive, inspect, and store medical and non-medical supplies.
- Issue materials to departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain stock registers and inventory records in the ERP/HIS system.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment requests.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, FIFO/FEFO practices, and inventory control.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Pharmacy, and user departments for material availability.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper documentation within the store.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and expired items and report to the supervisor.
- Comply with NABH standards, infection control guidelines, and hospital policies.
