About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with expertise in Audit and Taxation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing statutory and internal audits, tax compliances, and advisory assignments while leading a team and working closely with the Partner. This role requires a professional who takes complete ownership of client engagements, delivers high-quality work, and consistently meets deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Audit
- Conduct statutory and internal audits across diverse industries.
- Plan, execute, and finalize audit assignments in accordance with applicable auditing standards.
- Prepare and review audit reports, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements to clients.
- Ensure timely completion of audit assignments while maintaining quality and compliance.
Taxation
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliances, including Income Tax, GST, and TDS.
- Prepare, review, and file tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients.
- Liaise with tax authorities during assessments, audits, and notices.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and communicate relevant updates to clients and the team.
Team Leadership & Client Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–6 members, ensuring efficient allocation of work and continuous development.
- Review the team's work and provide technical guidance to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and ensure timely execution of assignments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and professional service.
Reporting & Ownership
- Report directly to the Partner on the progress of assignments, client matters, and key deliverables.
- Take complete ownership and accountability for assigned engagements from planning to completion.
- Monitor project timelines, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and ensure all deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality execution across all engagements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in Audit and Taxation.
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Standards on Auditing (SA), Income Tax Act, GST, and TDS regulations.
- Hands-on experience in statutory audits, internal audits, tax compliance, and tax advisory.
- Proficiency in accounting and audit software, along with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and client handling abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet strict deadlines.
