Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, receiving deposits, processing withdrawals, maintaining accurate cash records, and providing excellent customer service. The role ensures safe and efficient cash management while complying with the Patsanstha's policies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesCash Handling
- Receive cash deposits and process withdrawal transactions.
- Verify cash amounts, denominations, and transaction documents.
- Maintain adequate cash balance in the cash counter.
- Ensure accuracy in all cash transactions.
Customer Service
- Assist members and customers with deposits, withdrawals, and account-related inquiries.
- Provide prompt and professional service.
- Address customer concerns and direct them to the appropriate department when required.
Record Keeping
- Maintain daily cash books and transaction records.
- Prepare cash summaries and reconciliation reports.
- Ensure all vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents are properly filed.
Cash Reconciliation
- Reconcile cash balance at the end of each business day.
- Report any cash shortages or excesses immediately to the Branch Manager.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Compliance & Security
- Follow cash handling procedures and internal control policies.
- Ensure confidentiality of customer and financial information.
- Adhere to regulatory and organizational compliance requirements.
- Maintain security of cash, cheques, and financial documents.
Administrative Support
- Assist in account opening documentation and record maintenance.
- Support branch operations as required.
- Coordinate with accounts and operations staff for smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- HSC/12th Pass with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in cash handling, banking, cooperative society, or accounting.
- Freshers with good numerical skills may also apply.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
