The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, planning, and management of the organization. The CFO ensures financial stability, profitability, regulatory compliance, risk management, and effective utilization of financial resources to support business growth and expansion.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor business performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial goals.
Financial Management
- Oversee accounting, finance, taxation, treasury, and auditing functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
- Manage banking relationships, loans, and financial institutions.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Establish financial controls and cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenditures.
- Analyze operational costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Ensure effective utilization of company resources.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong internal control systems and governance practices.
Business Analysis & Decision Support
- Evaluate investment opportunities, expansion projects, and business proposals.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and profitability analysis.
- Support management with data-driven financial insights.
- Monitor key financial indicators and business performance metrics.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
- Ensure continuous training and development of finance personnel.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and financial discipline.

Qualifications
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications in finance, accounting, or risk management are preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- At least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in retail, consumer durables, FMCG, or multi-location business operations is preferred.
