Job Purpose
The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), seeks a hands-on Manager of Engineering to lead an engineering team responsible for trading systems development in a high-throughput, low-latency trading environment. The role owns the design and delivery of key platform components, leads experienced engineers, contributes to technical direction, and ensures reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead architecture and system design for high-performance, highly available platform components.
· Contribute to technical roadmap and engineering standards.
· Evaluate new technologies to improve scalability and maintainability.
· Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while driving technical excellence.
· Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and retention.
· Own engineering planning, prioritization, and timely delivery.
· Partner with business, product, and operations stakeholders.
· Track engineering metrics and drive continuous improvement.
· Ensure system reliability, availability, and regulatory compliance.
· Support incident response, root cause analysis, and production stability.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
· 12+ years of software engineering experience including strong C/C++ development on Linux.
· 2+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
· Experience building high-performance, low-latency systems.
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, systems programming, and performance optimization.
· Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, multicast networking, multithreading, and real-time systems.
· Experience with CI/CD and engineering automation.
· Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
· Financial services or exchange domain experience is a plus.
Pay: Up to ₹3,500,000.00 per year
