Futurepump is a British-Indian company Head Quartered in UK and manufacturing in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. From our custom-built factory and office complex, we manufacture award-winning solar powered irrigation pumps for smallholder farmers to use across the world, with a network of over 30 country-level distributor partners.
As Junior Engineer – Mechanical you will be based at the factory outside Rajkot, Gujarat, India and required to assist the Senior Engineer in the CAD and CAM functions and the machine shop.
Examples of tasks within this role
- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Creating designs using 3D modelling software
- Taking responsibility for taking measurements of parts using various measurement equipment
- R&D support in development of new designs
- Testing new products and parts
- Keeping accurate records of test methods and results
- Support case management from external customers
- Reporting back to management
Essential Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Educational qualification: B.E. (Mech / Production) – A diploma holder with exceptional qualities shall be considered.
- Proficiency in Solidworks for 3D modelling
- Proficiency in NX
- Confidence in metrology using various measuring equipment
- Knowledge about various machining and manufacturing processes
- Proof of hands on experience in a similar role
- Aptitude towards gathering new knowledge and a problem solving approach to challenges
- Willingness and desire to absorb knowledge and training from all levels of operatives
- Respectful attitude to each and every factory technology and operatives
- Willingness to accept responsibilities and ownership of challenging tasks
