Key Responsibilities
- Patient Education: Instructs individuals and families on glucose monitoring, medication, insulin administration, and nutritional management.
- Behavioral Coaching: Uses techniques like motivational interviewing to assist patients with lifestyle changes regarding diet, activity, and psychosocial coping.
- Management & Assessment: Conducts assessments, identifies gaps in care, and helps create personalized diabetes self-management plans.
- Collaboration: Coordinates with doctors, nurses, and dietitians to provide comprehensive care.
- Support: Facilitates support groups and provides resources for managing Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A degree in nursing (B.Sc), nutrition/dietetics, or physical therapy is typically required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of diabetes management, excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
Work Setting
- Hospitals and clinics.
- Physician offices.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
